   And the Rockets' Red Glare...

Once again the Town of Portland delivered a fantastic fireworks display
celebrating Independence Day.
 

The celebration was hosted by the Portland Police Department
and the Dapkus family.
 

Those present were treated to a barrage of brilliant fireworks,
filling the sky with fiery colors and mighty blasts.
    

Bursts of flame split the night as the earth shook, thrilling young and old.
 

Deep in our hearts, its mimicry of war reminds us that our freedoms
and privileges were purchased at great cost
