    Purpose: To provide care for veterans and their families at hospitals, homes and in the community.

    Membership information: Community service Women only. Must be a relative (wife, mother, sister, daughter, etc.) of a veteran.

    Annual dues: $12.00.

    Meetings: Fire Company 2, Main Street, Portland. Wednesday, 7 to 8:30 p.m.

    Purpose: To promote confidence, develop leadership, build character, and help others in service.

    Special Events: Camping, hiking and camping plus annual summer camp opportunity at Camp Mattatuck. Assist at the Civil War encampment at Hammonassett. Many fun other optional activities, include: every other year a whitewater rafting trip in Maine, boating/canoeing day trips, Friday evening ski/snowboard six week program at Powder Ridge an participation in annual Millstone Badge-o-ree program.
