BICYCLE RODEO

On September 17th, the Portland Police Department sponsored a Bicycle Rodeo in conjunction with the Town Family Day Festival. It was a fun-filled day with all types of activities throughout the town enjoyed by all.
    The Bike Rodeo had a very good turnout, with kids between the ages of 4 and 11 able to participate in an obstacle course and receive a free helmet from Dr. Mormile.
    I would like to thank Dr. Mormile for donating bike helmets that were given to the children who participated in the Bike Rodeo. Thanks also to the Portland Fire Department for providing EMS service during this festival, and to the many other volunteers who assisted. A special thanks to Portland Police Officers James Kelly and David Bond for giving up their day and donating their time to make this an enjoyable event.
