Youth Services will be sponsoring one program for Portland Children for out of school time care. Kids Blast based at Brownstone School offers a Before School Program, a morning kindergarten program and after noon kindergarten program and an after school program.

Mental Health/Psychotherapy Services available include: Outpatient individual, family and couples psychotherapy, psychiatric evaluations, substance abuse evaluations, and referral services. Services are available for adults, children, adolescents, families and couples. Insurance and sliding scale fee accepted.
Chris Napolitano, MS, LMFT has provided mental health services for the Town of Portland since 1999. His expertise includes over 12 years of clinical practice specializing in the treatment of adults, children and families. Mr. Napolitano has several years of specialized training and practice in the treatment of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, and Substance Abuse Disorders. He maintains a full time clinical appointment in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Connecticut Health Center in Farmington, CT. Mr. Napolitano is also a published author in the field of adolescent substance abuse.
For Middle School age Students meets afterschool every other Monday with Prevention Coordinator Peggy Chesanek Stratton. Community outreach projects and positive youth development activities are planned on a monthly basis. Programs and projects to be announced. This program is funded through a Healthy Community, Healthy Youth Grant from the Middlesex United Way.
