Drinking Water Awareness Committee

The Conn. Section Drinking Water awareness committee developed Walk Through The Water Cycle exhibit last year and it made its debut at the 1998 CPTV Science fair at Trinity College. The exhibit as well as "Walter The Water Saver" were big attractions at the fair last year and again this year. The committee is always looking for new venues let people know how important a resource drinking water really is. This year the water cycle returned to Lake Compounce in a much better location, Splash Harbor!!

The weather was perfect.....HOT and Dry....and the Park attendance figures were well over the 10,000 mark for the three days we were there.
Volunteers explained the water cycle and stamped all the eager to learn children and their families. The rainstorm served its purpose well not only to illustrate precipitation but also to cool people off and give them relief from the scorching sun.
Volunteers also got a chance to enjoy the Park before and after their shifts. Check out the photo galleries.
