
Library Board of Directors
Responsibilities of the Library Board include preparing policies for the internal operation of the library, making recommendations to the First Selectman regarding hiring and evaluating a library director, and preparing a budget request for presentation to the First Selectman. All special Library funds, gifts, grants, and memorials are held by the Town for the exclusive use of the Library and expenditures from these funds are determined by the approval of the Library Board. Seven board members are appointed and meet monthly.
