Childcare Programs Being Offered

Youth Services sponsors Kids Blast After School Program based at Brownstone School. It is held five days a week. Students arrive at approximately 3:00 o'clock and can stay  until last pick up time of 6:00. See the Kids Blast  application for additional information on the program.

Counseling and Resource Center

Mental Health/Psychotherapy Services available include: Outpatient individual, family and couples psychotherapy, psychiatric evaluations, substance abuse evaluations, and referral services. Services are available for adults, children, adolescents, families and couples. Insurance and sliding scale fee accepted.

Chris Napolitano, MS, LMFT has provided mental health services for the Town of Portland since 1999. His expertise includes over 19 years of clinical practice specializing in the treatment of adults, children and families. Mr. Napolitano has several years of specialized training and practice in the treatment of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, and Substance Abuse Disorders. He maintains a full time clinical appointment in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Connecticut Health Center in Farmington, CT. Mr. Napolitano is also a published author in the field of adolescent substance abuse.

Youth Action Counsel

For Middle School and High School age Students meets afterschool every  Tuesday with Prevention Coordinator Peggy Chesanek Stratton. Community outreach projects and positive youth development activities are planned on a monthly basis. Programs and projects to be announced. This program is funded through a Healthy Community, Healthy Youth Grant from the Middlesex United Way.  New activities will be posted for the fall of 2018.
