The Town-Wide Safety Committee brings workers and managers together to create and foster a safer and healthier workplace. By meeting regularly, the members share information that brings the Town of Portland into compliance with the State of Connecticut's requirements. The Committee is challenged with developing and promoting the principles and practices that help reduce workplace injuries, illnesses, and fatalities. By being an actively involved Committee, our goal is to help improve employee morale, increase productivity, and lower the occurrence of workers' injuries.
